I hope you’ve had a great week and a very happy Thanksgiving! Next week marks Giving Tuesday, an annual day of global philanthropy. I've been reflecting on what it truly means to be part of a community — not just in moments of celebration, but especially when we're called upon to stand together in challenging times.
This past year reminded us why the work of the Jewish Alliance matters. When our community faced difficult moments, we didn't face them alone. Together, with our community partners, we stood with those who needed us, worked alongside local leaders, and made clear that hate has no place in our schools or our state. Time and again, we've shown that we can transform challenges into opportunities for education, understanding, and meaningful change.
This is the essence of what we do — and it's only possible because of you.
On Giving Tuesday, we will be asking you to support the Jewish Alliance Community Campaign. Your contribution sustains the infrastructure that allows us to respond when antisemitism emerges, to advocate for our community's needs, and to build the connections that keep Jewish life thriving across Rhode Island.
We are the central hub people turn to in crisis. We are the voice speaking up for Jewish interests. We are the connectors bringing thousands of Rhode Islanders closer to their culture and to each other. And we are the bridge-builders creating understanding across all communities in our state.
I hope you'll join me on Giving Tuesday in support of this critical work. Every contribution, regardless of size, strengthens our collective capacity to respond, to protect, and to uplift our community.
Thank you, sincerely. And until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
