Are you a teen looking to develop your leadership skills? Do you want to explore working with children in a creative, supportive, and fun environment? Become a Counselor-in-Training (CIT)!

Summer J-Camp Counselors-In-Training (CIT) for teens in grades 7–10

Our Counselor-in-Training program helps teens gain the valuable hands-on leadership skills needed to be a successful staff member and leader. CITs will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, developing trust, creative problem solving, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. Each week, CITs will have workshops learning leadership techniques, have the opportunity to lead in practice and by example, receive concrete performance feedback from the CIT Leader, reflect on their own observations and experiences, and have fun!

CIT sessions are weekly with each week focused on a different leadership aspect. Consecutive weeks are recommended.
