The Dwares JCC team has been busy dreaming up a fantastic Summer J-Camp experience for your kiddo! We provide a diverse and welcoming environment for all our campers each week with J-Campers partaking in a wide variety of activities that support their growth into well-rounded, lifelong learners. In a healthy, creative, and active environment of Judaic and secular values, J-Camp is built on four pillars, or JAMS: Judaism, Arts, Movement (athletics), and STEM.
Using an experiential learning model, campers will delve into JAMS exploring teambuilding, daily swim lessons, sports, community, the arts, science, and much more. The daily schedule will rotate and include a variety of activities including swim lessons along with electives that focus on the specific interests of campers.
We also have weekly field trips and special guests! Past field trips include beaches, duckpin bowling, science centers, the zoo, aquarium, museums, and more. Special guests have included animal folks, cultural performances, storytellers, magicians, martial arts instructors, and mad scientists. We also have a talent show and finish the year with a camper-created Carnival!
