Dance, Dance Evolution! A Mind/Body Workshop Series

Experience dance in a mind/body workshop series that focuses on significant American choreographers and the dances they created. The workshop includes elements of jazz, modern, and ballet and is designed to be accessible for adults of all ages, physical abilities, and levels of knowledge about dance. You will study dance history while working on musicality, strength, and flexibility. Culture meets fitness in a safe, accepting, and joyful community.

About the instructor: Rachel Balaban has been teaching dance for over 25 years. In 2013, Rachel founded DAPpers (Dance for All People) for people with Parkinson’s disease and other movement challenges as well as undergraduate students, recognizing the power of dance and intergenerational programming. Rachel served as an adjunct lecturer in Brown University’s Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies from 2013-2022. She is committed to helping people access their vitality and health through using their own bodies and to make dance accessible to all populations. Rachel will be joined by members of the Dancing Legacy team who have expertise in different choreographers and styles.

About the instructor: Juggling has been a lifetime hobby for Harry Fish. With over 45 years of experience he still has the drive to challenge himself to learn and teach.
