Next week we begin our celebration of Hanukkah, the festival of lights. And with it comes a sense of warmth and joy, but perhaps most importantly this year, it’s a reminder to look for the light. So today, despite things feeling darker than normal, I’d like to share with you some of the light we’ve seen in the last few months.

I urge all of you to look for the light, to look for the good, to look for the hope. And I encourage you to share your light with others. It’s how we get through these difficult times, and it’s how we remember that our community, our culture, our people are rooted in joy.

Until next time I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat, and a bright and hopeful Hanukkah.

Shabbat Shalom,
