I hope you’ve had a great week, and a meaningful Yom Kippur. The start of the new year also means the start of the Alliance’s Community Campaign! Every year, the Alliance raises millions of dollars to support our community and all the things needed to ensure we are vibrant and thriving. But we can only do it with your support.

The funds we raise support the Alliance and our community partners. It allows us to operate the Dwares JCC, publish Jewish Rhode Island, coordinate response to crisis in the community, and to create pathways for people to find their place in Jewish life. It allows us to support great organizations, like our Jewish day schools, like the Holocaust Education Center, our local Hillels, and Camp JORI.

At the Alliance, we aren’t just running programs; we are proving that intimate, responsive Jewish community is possible. But to do all of this, we need your help and support. This year, our goal is to raise $3.6 million. The campaign is underway, and this Sunday we’ll be kicking it into high gear. Our volunteers will be making calls and sending texts — because every contribution fuels the strength and future of our Jewish community. I hope when you get a call, you’ll answer the phone and donate. Your support is essential to maintaining and growing our vibrant, thriving community.

Together we can continue to make our Jewish community stronger. From Woonsocket to Westerly, from Providence to Newport, we connect every part of it. Together we can ensure Jewish life thrives for everyone. Together, we can do so much good. Thank you for all of your support!

Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
