I hope you’ve had a great week. By now you have likely seen the email that we sent yesterday letting the community know that I’ll be transitioning out of this president and CEO role late next spring. I wanted to use today’s message to expand a little on the letter, and mostly to express my gratitude.

Leadership is not just about knowing when to step up, it’s also about knowing when to step back. As I contemplated this change, I was comforted by the knowledge that there is so much in this community that is strong and vibrant, and that makes this the right time. Last Sunday’s Jewish Culture Fest encapsulates that perfectly.

And I am so incredibly grateful to all of you. For your support of the Alliance, for your support of me, and for your unwavering commitment to Jewish life, Jewish identity, and Jewish community. I know that our best days continue to be ahead of us.

As I mentioned in the letter. This is not goodbye. I’ll continue to be in this role through next spring, and I will do so with the same energy and enthusiasm that I have brought to this work over the last eight years. That energy and that passion is fueled by all of you -- thank you for making this community so special.

Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
President & CEO
