Shabbat Shalom,
As we welcome the peace and reflection of Shabbat, I would like to share an important update about a significant technology transformation underway at the Jewish Alliance.
Over the past several months, we have begun implementing a comprehensive IT transformation designed to strengthen the way we serve our community. This work includes new and integrated platforms for:
- JCC membership management – allowing us to better understand, engage, and support our members.
- Program management – allowing for a more efficient and streamlined way to register for programs.
- Donor and fundraising platforms – creating a more seamless, transparent, and user-friendly giving experience.
These changes are not simply technical upgrades; they are investments in the future of our community. Strong infrastructure allows us to deepen relationships, steward resources responsibly, and ensure that our programs—from early childhood education to health and wellness services—operate with excellence and sustainability.
At the same time, meaningful change requires patience. Jewish writings are replete with references that encourage patience. Ecclesiastes 7:8 reminds us: “The end of a matter is better than its beginning; better the patient in spirit than the haughty in spirit.” Proverbs 14:29 states: “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.”
We ask for your patience as we navigate this IT transition together. There will be adjustments, questions, and moments of learning as we roll out these new tools. Our professional team and lay leaders are working diligently to ensure a thoughtful and careful implementation. Short-term inconveniences will yield long-term strength: the ability to access your account information more easily, more efficient processes, and enhanced capacity to serve every corner of our community. Over the next several weeks, you will be receiving weekly updates from the Jewish Alliance, including information about actions you may need to take to help with the transition. Please be on the lookout.
Shabbat reminds us that sacred work unfolds in sacred time. We build steadily, faithfully, and with intention. So too with this IT transformation. With patience, collaboration, and shared commitment, we will emerge stronger and better equipped to fulfill our mission.
Thank you for your trust, your engagement, and your partnership.
Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom,
Harris Chorney
Interim CEO
