Hi Everyone,
For those who don’t know me, I’m Marisa Garber and I am Chair of the Board of Directors at the Jewish Alliance. Adam and I decided to switch things up with this week’s Shabbat message so I could share some information with you.
As most of you know, Adam will be leaving the Alliance next June to pursue public office. I want to give you an update on the search process for our next CEO.
We have put together a search committee that includes board members, community members, and staff. We have engaged Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), to assist us in the process. They have an experienced team that is focused on our search and will be able to perform much of the behind-the-scenes work required. They have a wide network of professionals across the Jewish Federation system that they are able to source from, within and beyond existing talent pipelines.
We are now starting our discovery phase where we will be gathering information from various groups in our community to assist in developing key components of the job description as well as identifying essential core competencies and attributes. Once this phase is complete, we will work together to finalize the job description which will be posted in early January both within and outside of the JFNA network. JFNA will screen all applicants for this position which means if you or someone you know may be interested in applying, we encourage you to do so through the JFNA website.
We will continue to keep you updated as the committee works through the process, and I encourage you to reach out to Adam or myself if you have any questions regarding the search.
For now, I wish you all a safe, peaceful, and happy Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom!
Shabbat Shalom,
Marisa Garber
Chair of the Board
