I hope you’ve had a great week. The month of June always feels like a whirlwind. The end of the school year combined with the end of our annual fundraising campaign feels like the final sprint before summer. As a reminder, if you haven’t had a chance to make a gift to our community campaign, I hope you will do so by June 30th to help us ensure all of the resources our community needs are available. You can do so by clicking here.

June is also a time where we celebrate the accomplishments of the past year. It has been wonderful to attend annual meetings across our community these last few weeks. To celebrate incredible community members and their contributions to Rhode Island’s Jewish community. And to honor the many volunteers who make our community happen. To that end, the Jewish Alliance will be holding our annual meeting next Wednesday, June 18th at 7pm at the Bonnie and Donald Dwares JCC. We would love for you to join us!

At the annual meeting we will be installing a committed and dedicated Board of Directors. And this year also marks the transition from one Board Chair to the next. We’ll reflect on the incredible work Harris Chorney has done these last three years as our Chair, and we will look forward to Marisa Garber’s tenure as she takes over the Chair role. In a time when our community must find opportunities for connection and joy, I hope you will join us to celebrate these two wonderful people who have done so much for the Jewish Alliance.

Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom,
