In this week’s message I express my gratitude to many different groups in our community. First, our donors who helped us reach our fundraising goal of $3.1 million to continue addressing the needs of the community. Then, the members of the Dwares JCC who have supported us over the last week as we work to restore parts of the building after recent storm damage. I’m also grateful to the City of Providence who is working with us on long-term solutions to mitigate future storm damage, and our Board who has been supportive in getting us back up and running.

Finally, today I want to express my gratitude to our staff at the Alliance. In times of crisis, it’s incredible to see everyone step up. Our staff was here on July 4th to begin removing water. They were here in the days following continuing to support the cleanup. And just as important, they were working to make sure we could continue to offer classes, trainings, and even a makeshift gym while we wait to reopen the fitness center. I continue to be inspired every day by their commitment to you.
It is times like these when I really understand just how special this community is. And I’m grateful for all of it.
Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
