Women’s Alliance Endowment Fund

Established in 1993, the Women’s Alliance Endowment Fund benefits Jewish women and girls by supporting educational, health, cultural, and social services and programs.

Become a member with a gift of $1,000 or more (payable over 3 years). Your donation will exist in perpetuity as part of the Women’s Alliance Endowment Fund, which is in addition your Jewish Alliance Annual Campaign gift.

Members of the Women’s Alliance Endowment Fund select grant recipients and programs that benefit women and girls.

Women’s Alliance Endowment Fund Request for Proposals

The Women’s Alliance Endowment Fund’s mission: To encourage and support programming and services for Jewish women and girls. These funds are available to Rhode Island-area or Alliance-funded agencies, synagogues, and organizations that offer programs in line with the fund’s mission.

In 2018, allocations totaling $7,688 were awarded to these programs:
Supporting Local Programming for Jewish Women and Girls

  • $1,100 for Congregation Beth Sholom’s Women, Torah and Scholarship Series
  • $800 for Jewish Community Day School for the Girls Power Lunch Program
  • $1,000 for the family-friendly program series at Congregation Beth David
  • $800 for the Girls Power lunch program at JCDS
  • $250 for Congregation Mishkon Tfiloh’s Girls Write program

Supporting Global Programming for Jewish Women and Girls

  • $500 for Refanah Healing Holidays ‘Healing Holidays for Breast Cancer Patients’
  • $600 for the Dr. Israel Goldstein Youth Village Musical Bands Initiative
  • $750 for Haifa Rape Crisis Center’s training for Students providing therapy services in the Amakim area
  • $500 for the ELI: Israel Association for Child Protection Cyberbullying Prevention for Girls program
  • $588 for Ethiopian National Project’s Holistic Girls Empowerment Program
  • $500 for NITZA- The Israel Center for Maternal Health’s Multi- Risk Mother & Child Group Therapy Program
