At this moment, somewhere in the world, someone is persecuted for his or her culture or religion. Innocents suffer. Fear and cruelty persist, even close to home. But so do empathy and courage.
The Rhode Island Holocaust Memorial, located on the Providence River Walk between the World War I & World War II Memorials, stands in tribute to all that we have lost and all that we have learned. By providing a place for meaningful reflection, and by sharing the lessons of the Holocaust, we hope that the Memorial will help create a kinder world.
The Rhode Island Holocaust Memorial honors those lost, and is also a tribute for, and on behalf of, Rhode Island’s remaining Holocaust Survivors.
