Our Plans for a Safe Reopening
Our reopening process began in June, and will grow gradually as the environment continues to become safer. We want to assure you that everyone at the Alliance will be doing their part to protect the health of everyone who enters our building.
We are pleased to announce the following dates in our phased reopening:
NEW September 29: Locker Rooms & Health Clubs
July 6: Aquatics
June 15: Early Childhood Center
June 22: J-Fitness
June 29: Summer J-Camp
We will continue to follow the guidelines and restrictions provided by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the Rhode Island Department of Health, in order to ensure that our members and staff remain as safe as possible.
Watch the video below to learn more about what’s new at the Dwares JCC.
Here’s some of what you can expect when you return:
- Wellness screenings and temperature checks for all members and staff before entering the building
- Face coverings must be worn at all times by members and staff
- Increased cleaning & disinfecting protocols throughout the building
- Plexiglas installed at welcome desks
- Signage throughout the building highlighting expectations and guidelines
- Floor markers to encourage social distancing
We are asking you to do your part, too. We’ve instituted these new rules and policies to keep everyone safe, but they’ll only work if everyone follows them. Pikuach nefesh – preserving human life above all else – is our top priority and will guide the decisions we make now and into the future.
