With every individual who awakens to Jewish heritage,
our whole community grows stronger.
Jewish Life and Learning keeps young people connected to Judaism and offers our whole community scores of opportunities to learn, celebrate and explore their Jewish identity together throughout the year.
Participation in the March of the Living is just one of many ways in which we foster Jewish continuity and commitment to Israel among the next generation — by intensifying connections with Jewish people past, present, and future.
Every year, nearly 200 children make lasting memories of shimmering summer days with friends at Camp JORI, thanks to scholarships and organizational support from our Annual Campaign.
We welcome more than 100 brand-new members of our community every year with a Shalom Baby bucket. We help 550 children to explore their Jewish identity through monthly delivery of a book from our PJ Library. More than 200 children are embracing Judaism and honing critical thinking skills in local Jewish day schools, with our support.
We give young Rhode Islanders the life-changing experience of seeing Israel for the first time, and we offer a daily after-school program for children and teens, based at the Alliance JCC – where more than 100 children begin lifelong friendships every day.
We offer lectures and other events for the whole family throughout the year, such as our annual spring celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut – Israel Independence Day – which finds more than 300 members of our community celebrating together with Israeli food, craft, music, dance, and other heritage activities.
And there’s so much more.
