Fitness for Tweens & Teens

Latin Dance (Ages: 10 to 19)
Learn to dance in a non-competitive and high-energy environment! We will focus on social Latin dancing,  specifically salsa and bachata, with basic footwork drills and the potential for age-appropriate partner work.

Basketball Fundamentals and Scrimmages (Ages: 11-14)
This class gives basketball players a chance to build on their basic fundamentals, learn new skills and drills, and focus on teamwork. Skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork, and defensive awareness techniques will be emphasized. Scrimmages will take place at the end of the session.
Wednesdays 4:45 – 5:30pm
January 11 – March 1 |8 sessions, Minimum enrollment: 4

Soccer Fundamentals Clinic (Ages: 11 – 14)
This clinic gives soccer players a chance to build on their basic fundamentals, learn new skills and drills, and focus on teamwork. Skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and footwork will be emphasized. Offensive and defensive techniques will also be practiced, as well as goal keeping. Scrimmages will take place at the end of the session.

March 8 – April 5 | 5 sessions, Minimum enrollment: 4

Baseball Fundamentals Clinic (Ages: 11 – 14)
This clinic gives baseball players a chance to build on their basic fundamentals, learn new skills and drills, and focus on teamwork. Skills such as batting, fielding, and base running will be emphasized. Footwork, hand-eye coordination, and specialized positional work will also be practiced.

April 26 – June 7 | No class May 31 | 6 sessions, Minimum enrollment: 4
Price: $140 | Members: $100

 

Finding Your Balance (Ages: 10 – 14)
This 60 minute class focuses on fitness-style yoga interspersed with discussions on current health and fitness topics for adolescents. Stress reduction and mindful meditation techniques will be practiced. Sessions will build upon skills learned as time progresses.

April 3 – June 19 | No class May 29 | 12 Classes
