Through Midrasha teens find a true sense of personal Jewish understanding, a community of friends, and a safe space in the midst of their crazy schedules.
Teens in grades 8 through 12 are welcome to join the Harry Elkin Midrasha Community High School. Teens in the Midrasha community describe it as “the one place during the week where I can just slow down for a minute and really get to be myself.”
All students, regardless of previous religious education, denomination, or synagogue affiliation are welcome to join Midrasha. Through classes, social programs, trips, retreats, leadership opportunities, tzedakah and tikkun olam programs, and more, teens find a true sense of personal Jewish understanding, a community of friends that will last a lifetime, and a safe space in the midst of their crazy schedules.
Taught by experienced and outstanding mentors, classes are offered in a wide variety of subject areas, such as Jewish History, Ethics, Arts and Culture, Literature, Community Service, Leadership, Rabbinics, Bible, and Hebrew Language.
If you are a teen (or know a teen!) who might be interested in checking out Midrasha, please contact Jana Brenman, Director of Teen Engagement at 401.421.4111 ext. 181 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Harry Elkin Midrasha Community High School is supported by a joint grant from the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, by our sponsoring synagogues, and by support from the Alliance Annual Campaign.
